Paramount Queen of Alavanyo, Mamaga Ametor Hoebuadzu II, Inspires Students During Visit to Akatsi South

Akatsi South, May 28, 2025 — The Paramount Queen of the Alavanyo Traditional Area, Mamaga Ametor Hoebuadzu II, paid a working visit to three basic schools in the Akatsi South Municipality on Tuesday, May 28, 2025. Her visit, aimed at promoting education and youth empowerment, also marked the global observance of Menstrual Hygiene Day.

Mamaga Ametor toured schools in Xavi, Afeyime, and Avenofeme, bringing along a wide array of learning and hygiene materials for the pupils. These included exercise books, mathematical sets, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, reading and storybooks, notebooks, chalk, and menstrual pads.

In an inspiring address to the students, Mamaga Ametor delivered a motivational message that emphasized the transformative power of education:

“Beloved students, remember that education is the key to unlocking your full potential.
Learn hard, stay focused, and never give up on your dreams. Your hard work and dedication will pave the way for a brighter future, filled with endless possibilities and opportunities. She also extended heartfelt best wishes to all Junior High School (JHS) students preparing for their examinations.

 

The day’s activities coincided with Menstrual Hygiene Day, drawing attention to the importance of menstrual health awareness and the need for continued support for schoolgirls. Mamaga Ametor’s donation of menstrual pads served as both a symbolic and practical gesture to uphold the dignity and health of young girls in the region.

Students, school authorities, and community members warmly welcomed the Paramount Queen’s visit and expressed deep appreciation for her commitment to education and the well-being of children in rural communities.
